Strange lights have been seen in nearby waters. With sailors generally being a rather superstitious lot, the Cardinal needs someone to sail out there and find out what's really going on before the rumors cause a panic.
At the start of the mission, there will be a non-hostile level 42 ship some way ahead of you. As soon as you get close enough, it turns hostile and you get a system message that you're under attack. Defeat the ship to finish the mission.
