The planted evidence is the noose we'll use to hang Shrewsbury's political ambitions, but we've got to make sure everyone is fooled, good and proper. To that end, I've arranged for ye to sail with the convoy that'll be carrying the evidence in question. How does that help us? All part of the plan, matey.

Once yer within the convoy, find the ship called "Shrewsbury Sunrise" and hail her. Doesn't matter what ye talk about, but make sure the escorts and other merchants can see what yer about. Once you've spoken to the "Sunrise" ye'll let the cat out o' the bag, as it were.

Open fire on one of the other convoy ships -- any of 'em, it doesn't matter which. Sink or capture all but two, and make sure one of the survivors is the "Sunrise".

Why leave survivors? Well, the survivor that isn't the "Shrewsbury Sunrise" is going to have a raft of questions about your little conversation with that ship. In fact, I shouldn't wonder if that other survivor believes the "Sunrise," and by extension her owner the Earl of Shrewsbury, is in league with those "wicked Brethren." When their hold is searched and yer planted evidence is discovered, that should put an end to his interfering for good.
