The lieutenant you defeated is demanding a rematch. The fencing master can't deny his request, but has to warn you: it is possible that the lieutenant might bring friends this time.
A swashbuckling duel against the same level 12 Lieutenant-rank NPC you met in the last mission. He will have two regular level 8 NPCs along to help him out. Regardless of your level and available skills, it might be a good idea to concentrate on the two low level opponents first. As they will be easiest to defeat, you'll ease up the pressure on your balance faster when you do so.
