Your contact claims to have discovered something about your map, specifically about the man who originally brought it to the New World. However, the book he needs most for his research has been far too damaged, so he will need you to get another copy for him. Fortunately there is one for sale in a nearby port. Unfortunately, that port is under blockade.
A blockade running mission with an added twist: there will be a ship of foreign researchers who apparently want to get their hands on that book as well! So not only do you have to make it through the blockade before the timer runs out, you will also have to outrun your rival.
You will start next to each other, but he will lose no time getting underway. Sail-damaging shot is your friend here (although it doesn't seem to have a lot of effect on him until you get his sails down to under 50%).

- WARNING! You have to finish this mission before you accept Showdown, or else you will not be able to claim the reward for this one. This is not a bug, but working as intended (although FLS might possibly implement a clearer warning to that effect in the future)
