A farmer is worried for his livelihood. What's left of his harvest is on board of a merchant convoy that is attacked by enemy forces. Losing it would mean losing his farm, so he turns to you for help
Short version: To Protect and To Serve all over again, 20 levels higher.
Longer version: there are only two ships you have to protect, and they will manage to stay afloat for a while, because at the beginning of the mission they are still (barely) guarded by two NPC allies (that are almost destroyed already), and they are only under attack by three of the six enemy ships. You will have three NPC ships with you to help out.
The bad news are, all this happens over 1000 yards away, and the rest of the enemy squadron is between them and you. You can completely ignore these however, as you have to reach the merchants as quickly as possible. Do not count on your NPC allies to follow you - they will get into a fight with the closer enemy group (on the plus side, that takes them out of the picture too for the time being). So basically this becomes a race to see if you can take out three enemy ships before one of the merchants is killed. Once you have accomplished this, you can go back and finish off any remaining stragglers (your allies should have left that other group significantly weakened).
