You have captured a prisoner! You can return him to his capital port for a small faction reward.
As a pirate, sometimes you can get a prisoner as a loot item. These prisoners have two uses: you can either return them to a specific port of their nation and gain a small number of faction points, or you can hand them in at any Pirate Trainer to gain some doubloons.
The table below documents the first option. You will have to find the NPC that is listed below (and it the description of the prisoner). From them you will be able to accept a mission that will be called Return the Kidnapped <Prisoner>, with <Prisoner> being the prisoner's title (for example: Return the Kidnapped Spanish Envoy). Talk to the NPC again to finish the mission and claim your reward.
