The local shipwright wants you to test out his latest ship design to see how she handles.
No real combat is involved here: you will be given command of a 'Defiant' Frigate (which you will be able to sail in this mission even if you wouldn't normally meet the level requirements) and will have to try it out against some 'Desperation' Rafts. Simply sink them to finish the mission (a full broadside against their bow or stern is a one-hit kill).
