[edit] PotBSWiki
This wiki is fanmade. We have the support of Flying Lab Software.
[edit] Introduction
This wiki aims to contain all the information there is about Pirates of the Burning Sea in an objective manner. Articles like guides, tips, tutorials are certainly allowed to be added. All articles here are free to be edited and improved by everyone. You are credited for your edits. So when you publish your own guide here, you agree to make it accessible to edits by the public to improve it.
[edit] Templates
We work with several templates to keep articles of the same type look the same. The use of these templates are (should be) explained on the template pages.
[edit] Categories
Most templates add categories to the articles based on the information filled in in the infobox. If so this should be in the template description.
The categories are used to structure the articles in a hierarchical manner to further improve the usefulness of this wiki.
[edit] 1 article per item
The wiki is based on the "1 article per item" rule. Meaning every item ingame has his own page on this wiki. This comes down to that every article contains the information of 1 item in the game. Commodities do not contain information of their recipe and vice versa. We do link the recipe to the commodity and the other way as well. This has been discussed and decided on, we do not plan to change this rule since it'll break a few hundred articles.

[edit] Naming
We use the ingame names for each article. We deviate from this when there are 2 items carrying the same name (some recipes and their products).
[edit] Recipes
We have started to use the ingame Recipe: tag in the article name when the item produced by this recipe carries the same name as the recipe. This means that a lot of articles has to be moved/renamed, as they currently follow the "article (Recipe)" naming.
[edit] Societies
Societies have their own namespace. When adding your society, add "Society:" in front of the article name.
