The Cardinal has been dispatched to the Carribean for only one reason: to combat heresy. And you have to help him with this. Your first target is a pirate fleet which the Cardinal suspects of hiding heretics.
There will be five enemy ships (between level 27 and 34). Three of these are convoy ships, the other two are escorts. You need to board one of the convoy ships to finish the mission. You will be supprted by two NPC allies.
