You have been ordered to present yourself to high-ranking Navy Officer who requests your presence.

First you are interviewed by the senior port captain and have to explain why you would like to join the Navy. After this, he has your first trial mission for you.

Your opponents will all be around level 5, as will your support ships, with the exception of the port captain. Under his supervision you are to board and capture as many enemy ships as possible. As per the mission text, one is actually sufficient to succeed.

Also, the port captain himself is level 27 and far outlevels anything else in this mission (which is why you needn't really be worried about him dying) - so even if you board the first ship you come across as quickly as possible, by the time you're done with that he's probably already sunk at least one other enemy. For that reason alone you should try to be quick about capturing a ship, before he kills them all.

• This is the level 5 Navy Officer Career Mission.
• Even though the costume item you get is called "Naval Lieutenant"" in the mission text, at the tailor it actually shows up as "Naval Midshipman" (under Coats).
