A powerful, but quick and maneuverable 34-gun frigate that can fill a role in any battle. It's biggest weakness is the lack of any chasers.

History

Strategy and Use

Heavy-hulled medium frigate for long-range combat combat and high durability. The Raa-line has more firepower at close range but thinner armour. (MC Raa approx 500 damage per min @ range 150, vs 375 for Capri and 335 for Defiant).

Tactics

Capri out-shoots and out-turns a Defiant or Myrmidion by a considerable amount (base damage @ range 150 is approx 375 per minute for this ship, and 335 for a Defiant/Myrmidion). It wins no contest in a close range turning fight (2x turning acceleration, 3x base acceleration), plus has higher speed, acceleration and better actual speed in most directions (see wind diagram). Slightly less armour as you would expect, but the damage increase is more than the armour decrease, so you work out on top. Gallant OTOH is harder to beat. Firepower is equal (380 per min) and he has better armour. So it comes down to your ability to prevent him focusing on one of your target facings, and vice versa.
